MNSS Accelerates Auto Spare Parts Fulfillment and Strengthens Operational Scalability with AutoStore

Written by Admin | 2026

Mohammad Naser ALSayer & Sons (MNSS), a leading distributor of Toyota and Lexus spare parts in Kuwait, implemented an AutoStore system empowered by Dematic to support rising order volumes, improve fulfillment speed, and strengthen operational scalability.

Handling thousands of small and medium-sized parts across service, retail, and over-the-counter channels, MNSS needed a solution capable of increasing operational performance while supporting employees with more efficient workflows. By introducing AutoStore, MNSS transformed its spare parts operation with faster order processing, improved accuracy, and dramatically higher storage density within a constrained industrial footprint.

“We wanted to better service our customers, with faster delivery and fewer errors in delivery. That’s what we were aiming for, and we achieved it.”

— Wilfred Kwaku Atuobi, Senior Manager, Logistics & Warehousing, MNSS

The Challenge

MNSS experienced rapid growth in demand for Toyota and Lexus spare parts across Kuwait. As order volumes increased, the company’s traditional manual warehouse operation became increasingly difficult to scale while maintaining fulfillment speed and accuracy.

The operation relied heavily on manual storage and picking processes for thousands of small and medium-sized parts. This created growing pressure around order throughput, inventory accessibility, space utilization, and operational efficiency.

At the same time, warehouse space in Kuwait remained both limited and expensive. MNSS needed a solution capable of supporting future growth without expanding its existing warehouse footprint.

The company also wanted to improve service levels across all customer channels by reducing lead times, improving delivery accuracy, and enabling employees to work more efficiently within a high-volume spare parts environment.

One of MNSS's workers operates one of the new Ports (workstations) of the new AutoStore system, empowered by Dematic.

The AutoStore Solution

MNSS selected AutoStore after evaluating multiple automation solutions. AutoStore, empowered by Dematic was chosen for its ability to deliver compact, high-density storage together with reliable goods-to-person fulfillment for small parts operations.

The solution enabled MNSS to automate the most time-consuming parts of its warehouse workflows while supporting operational growth and improving overall productivity.

With the AutoStore, inventory is stored densely within a compact footprint while Robots retrieve Bins and deliver them directly to picking workstations. This reduced repetitive manual movement throughout the warehouse and improved order fulfillment efficiency for warehouse teams.

The system was integrated with SAP EWM, enabling real-time inventory visibility and seamless operational continuity during implementation.

MNSS completed the entire project in six months from contract signing to go-live.

The new system has allowed MNSS to deliver faster order fulfillment while keeping up with increasing order volumes.

How the System Works

The AutoStore system manages all small and medium-sized spare parts for MNSS’s service, retail, and over-the-counter operations.

Inventory is stored within a high-density Grid structure spanning 24 levels. Inside the Grid, 18 R5 Robots retrieve and transport Bins to picking and replenishment workstations.

The system includes:

The solution was engineered for 500 bins per hour, including:

  • 400 bins per hour at picking Ports

  • 100 bins per hour for put-away operations

The first 10 levels of the Grid provide access to approximately 80% of daily branch demand, helping improve operational responsiveness and fulfillment flow.

Integrated with SAP EWM, the system supports real-time inventory management and streamlined order processing across MNSS’s distribution network.

Results

AutoStore enabled MNSS to significantly improve operational performance while supporting continued business growth.

Since implementation, the system has processed more than 700,000 order lines while maintaining near-100% uptime. MNSS now distributes approximately 2,200 order lines daily to branches across Kuwait with faster processing speeds and improved delivery accuracy.

The operation achieved a 90% reduction in warehouse footprint, shrinking from 5,000 m² to 560 m² while maintaining capacity for 16,000 SKUs.

By automating goods-to-person workflows, MNSS reduced manual bottlenecks throughout the fulfillment process and enabled employees to work more efficiently in a high-volume environment.

The system also improved customer service performance by reducing lead times and supporting faster, more reliable fulfillment across all customer channels.

“We went from 5,000 square metres to a 560 square metre footprint, so a huge saving.”

— Mubarak Naser ALSayer, Chief Executive Officer, MNSS
