Reliability

The 24/7 Worker

Always On

Globally, customer buying behaviors and expectations are growing beyond the capabilities of conventional material handling systems. Being down for even five minutes is costing money. The AutoStore system has a global uptime of 99.7%. Even when warehouses are closed or undergoing expansions, Robots work 24 hours a day, picking through Bins and bringing the required ones to the top.

Business Continuity

Unrivaled Uptime and MTBF

AutoStore knows the importance of reliability and warehouse availability. Through our technological innovation, we have built our reputation on reliability.

Statistics from hundreds of AutoStore systems show a 99.7% uptime and our customers have achieved a mean time between failures (MTBF) of over 3,000 hours. The key to this unrivaled uptime and MTBF is our philosophy of creating and using independently controlled modules.

Each system module works independently and can be serviced without shutting down the full system, a feature unique in the warehouse automation industry.

Self-Diagnostic

Troubleshooting Software

AutoStore is always evaluating and correcting. Our software module XHandler is constantly checking the system, running self-diagnostic troubleshooting, and taking preventive action. This feature optimizes system performance and minimizes the need for manual work.

In the event that the XHandler is unable to automatically resolve an issue, the control software can temporarily isolate the affected area while keeping the system running.

If the issue is caused by human error, (e.g. overfilling a Bin), our Bin ResQ™ Robot can automatically fetch the affected bin, ensuring smooth operations and no system down time.

These are key measures for maintaining uptime, and the system stop will only be used as a last resort.

One tool for fleet health & maintenance

CubeFleet™

CubeFleet brings fleet health, maintenance visibility, service history, and work-order management into one centralized solution. It helps teams monitor module health, identify maintenance needs, and manage service activities across a single site or multiple AutoStore deployments from one place.

Rather than relying on unreliable fixed maintenance schedules, CubeFleet uses live operational usage data from CubeAnalytics™ and predefined maintenance thresholds to identify service needs sooner and automatically generate guided work orders.

This helps teams move toward data-driven maintenance. With visibility into fleet health, maintenance requirements, and service history across deployments, CubeFleet helps sustain operational continuity, reduce complexity, and lower lifecycle costs.

Proactive alerts and guided work orders help teams identify, prioritize, and address maintenance needs before they disrupt operations, contributing to a 35% to 45% reduction in unplanned downtime:

Multi-fleet management

Manage fleet health and maintenance activities across multiple AutoStore systems from one centralized view.

Automatic work orders

Generate maintenance work orders when usage thresholds are met, helping teams act early and reduce unplanned downtime by 35% to 45%.

Maintenance traceability

Track service history, maintenance activities, and spare parts records in a centralized system to improve visibility, consistency, and planning.
