The AutoStore solution is recognized for enabling automated case handling within the grid, helping warehouses simplify inbound, storage, and fulfillment.

NEDRE VATS, NORWAY (March 12, 2026) – AutoStore™, the global leader in technology-driven, intelligent order fulfillment solutions, wins third place in the materialfluss “Product of the Year 2026” awards for AutoCase™, its automated case-handling solution for the AutoStore grid.
The reader-voted award recognizes innovative intralogistics technologies that deliver clear operational benefits for warehouse and fulfillment operations.
AutoCase™ automates case handling within the AutoStore system, enabling cartons to move directly into, through, and out of the grid. The solution helps warehouses manage inbound storage, buffering, and outbound case flows within the same system.
In many warehouse environments today, incoming cartons are opened and items are manually transferred into storage bins before they can enter automated picking workflows. AutoCase removes this manual step, allowing cartons to be inducted, stored, and retrieved automatically within the grid.
By combining case handling and piece picking in one unified system, companies can manage both cartons and individual items within the same AutoStore installation. This simplifies workflows while supporting operations such as inbound storage, order consolidation, buffering, and outbound preparation.

Like all AutoStore components, AutoCase follows the platform’s modular design. Companies can integrate the module into both new and existing AutoStore grids without major system changes.
This allows operators to expand automation into case handling while continuing to use their existing AutoStore infrastructure.
“We are pleased to receive third place in the materialfluss Product of the Year 2026 awards,” says Peter Bimmermann, Managing Director of AutoStore System GmbH.
“With AutoCase we expand the AutoStore platform toward end-to-end automation. The solution closes an important automation gap in material flow operations and allows customers to manage cartons and individual items within the same high-density system.”
