AutoStore R5 Pro™ Robot Voted Top 3 in “Product of the Year 2024” Award

NEDRE VATS, Norway, April 4, 2024 - AutoStore™, the global warehouse technology company that’s transforming warehouse automation with modular storage, announces it has been awarded third place by the readers of materialfluss at this year’s “Product of the Year 2024” awards for its R5 Pro Robot.

Votes were cast in four categories, with the R5 Pro Robot receiving the honour in the “Order Picking Systems” award. Products and solutions were judged on three main criteria: technical maturity and availability on the market, innovative features that set the product apart from its competitors and a clearly recognizable benefit for its customers.

“The growing trends of automated small parts warehouses, AI and electrification defined this year’s awards and the competition has once again shown the intralogistics sector’s strength in delivering innovative solutions for customers. Congratulations to all the winners and participants," said materialfluss Editor-in-Chief Daniel Schilling at the awards ceremony.

“The R5 Pro is an innovative addition to our Red Line Robot series. Thanks to its LTO batteries (Lithium Titanium Oxide), the R5 Pro Robot spends 50% less time charging throughout the day," emphasizes Peter Bimmermann, Director Business Development Management D/A/CH, CEE and Benelux and Managing Director AutoStore System GmbH, Mönchengladbach. “This makes the award-winning robot the ideal choice for AutoStore users who want to increase the availability and productivity of their robots, free up space for more items and reduce the total cost of ownership of their multishift warehouse operations.”

Second place in the category went to the KASTOsort tower from KASTO Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG and first place went to Movu escala from Movu Deutschland GmbH.
