Nowaste Logistics Becomes First Customer to Deploy AutoStore AutoCase

Nowaste puts case handling directly into the Grid, cutting manual steps and extending automation across inbound and fulfillment workflows.

NEDRE VATS, Norway (September 7, 2026) - AutoStore™, the global leader in intelligent fulfillment, today announces the first customer deployment of AutoCase™, now in use at Nowaste Logistics in Sweden. AutoStore partner Swisslog delivered and integrated the solution.

Handling Cases and Individual SKUs in the same System

AutoCase enables cases and individual items to be handled within the same AutoStore system. By automating the storage, retrieval and sequencing of cases, AutoCase brings workflows such as inbound case storage, buffering and outbound replenishment into the same system used for each-picking.

AutoCase extends the automation workflows of AutoStore

At Nowaste Logistics, AutoCase supports an inbound process for large volumes of apparel arriving in cartons ahead of seasonal demand. Previously, the company stored these cartons on pallets before gradually transferring products into the AutoStore system as needed.

With AutoCase, Nowaste can instead store cases directly within its AutoStore system when they arrive. The cases can later be retrieved either as full cases for onward shipment or routed into the picking process for individual order fulfillment.
