Together with integration partner Kardex, the project went from contract signing to go-live in just six months — without major infrastructure upgrades or operational downtime.

Innovative Design Choices

The project also introduced industry-first design elements:

  • Cross-building system layout with AutoStore on one side of a wall and Ports on the other.
  • Seismic bracers replacing traditional columns to free floor space.
  • Extension of the service grid into office space for ergonomic integration.

Since go-live, Balluff reports a 177% increase in throughput alongside smoother workflows and improved ergonomics for employees.
